Ima be down gold coast for christmas day.

I was thinking maybe we should have it more than a week away, either side, from christmas because everyones prolly gonna be busy.

Go for it Slip, I,m keen whenever everyone else is. If it's after chrissy I will have more go fast bits ready, ie the new plenum and I/C, all ready for the new hairdryer.
Did you guys hear about Kenny, apparently his car got smashed into.......Bastards. But they didn't kill Kenny:p . Seriously, he is okay but the car is feeling a little second hand. Ken, if you see this, make sure you get your computer back if they decide to write it off.
I don't mind whenever it is, before or after, just let me know. Slip if you want to organise things maybe give Marc a ring, I think he is trying to organise the skid pan at Mount Cotton for a day, or something.

If you want get Marc to put a post up and just let everyone reply. It's much easier. I think he wants to keep the numbers to less than 50. And it's not only skylines, all kinds of cars are coming.

OK guys I'm here finally! Yes I know I'm a slack arse etc etc but hey, some of us have work to do :)

I'm still waiting for "official" word on prices and stuff on the skidpan, but it's estimated to cost around $50-55. The whole thing is actually being arganised through http://www.performanceforums.com (dammit, can't use HTML to link) so once things are finalised you can actually put your name down on there. We had problems last time with people saying "I'll be there" but not paying their money until (in one case) four months later, so this time round we're using a blanket rule of 'first to pay secures their spot'. Basically your name is pencilled in with an expression of interest, but your place isn't "taken" until your money is paid.

Anyway if you have any questions, check out Performance Forums under Shootouts. If there's sufficient interest I'll try to find a link or something... but I'm in a lazy mood at the moment :sun:

I went down the Gold Coast last night (sat) and all I can say is Damn, There were so many bloody hot chicks and nice cars about, I saw only one Cop Car along the Pacific Highway all night cos most of them are on foot at Schoolies.

So many people were out doing the usual Traffic Light battles, but there were a fair few Imports around, I saw atleast 5 skylines mostly R33 gtst's and one R32 gtr. alot of 200sx's Wrx's a few gtir's, familia's and cars like that. The Damn car park was pretty much full, and I'd say it'll be the same tomorrow (maybe).

If anyone can get down and have a look down there it's well worth the trip and effort. Have a perve and nice cruise and if you can find em get a good run with another fast car, everyone must of just been watching the fast and the furious cos everyone wants to race. Damn those V8's

Yeah the car park was probably about 75% full... but it wasn't the cars I was looking at :D

I went down on two wheels last night though... CBR250R. First time in ages I've been down in anything that's not an R33! It does have round taillights though, so that's OK :)

I was driving around in a friends (bumble bee) ford laser, LOL it's a shitbox for power but he's a car stereo nut and the car suits his stereo install, The damn car is stocko but VIBRATES like a dildo on steroids, it's damn loud too.
My best friends car who was with us was a Blue Toyota Corolla with a Evo front bar, side skirts etc, it's damn fast for a four cyl n/a, he has a Toyota logo on the back window and a 20 valve king sticker on the front windscreen, LOL and they think I'm nuts for loving Skylines,

Corolla, Evo........mmmm not good. U should give him a riceboy ticket, fine him $50 for putting bodyparts of another manufacturer on his car.

The Car looks the part but is very Rice when you find out how much has gone into the car, nearly $35'000 which for me, I woulda blown that on a Damn nice skyline R33 gtst which is twice as powerful.

A rice ticket should be issued, But I'll give him a little credit, it suits the car and has some balls to back the car up to, I hate show ponies.....

I got there around 10pm, and left around 2.30am. You may or may not have seen me, the bike I was riding was one of the orange Repsol CBRs. Had a white helmet because the 'pretty' one doesn't fit :)

I will admit I love racing the VN-VS-VR V8's, I especially like to look at their faces at the next set of traffic lights when they finally catch up!!!!! Most tend to be very ignorant. But the silly thing is that I don't really want to race, but when they think they are better, well you just have to pull them down a peg or two don't you.:flipa: Even the missus likes to do that!!!!
Getting back to the topic, what is happening with the "get together"? What are the dates on this skid pan thing Marc?

I went down last night in a friends old R31 executive, and got the pleasure of seeing a R32 GTR get all sideways as he left a sidestreet near caval. He was after a Vs ss, the ss sounded sweet but then I heard the mighty pssshhhh, from the GTR and thought it's already over. They lined up at the lights and all I can say is GTR pissed all over this SS, the funny thing was the SS was all polished, chrome rims and looked the more expensive. Then I thought maybe the GTR money went under the evil Hood.:finger:

GTR still rules the coast!!!
