I want to put a strip of yellow LEDs on both sides of my front bumper in the inset where the tow eyelets are located. That means I need to find the wires that goes to the turn signal bulbs...I can't even find the bulbs let alone the wires!!! I can see the bulbs thru the lens but for the life of me I can't see how to get to them. Is there a place maybe at the fuse box where the turn signal wires are attached? Or maybe some kind of wire junction? This is driving me nuts :runaround:

You will need to remove the tail lamp lens to get to the bulbs. Open the tailgate to access the screws to the lens. Trace the harness from there.

Sorry...I meant the bumper in the front of the truck, not the back. I corrected it.

OK then, in that case the headlamp assy's need to come out to access the bulbs and wiring. The grill needs to come out and there are hidden bolts underneath and behind the headlamp assy. Will need to loosen innerfender lining to access those bolts.

Yuk...I had a feeling that was going to be the case...but isn't there wires that I could tap into coming out of the fuse box that are going to the bulbs?

You would have to look and trace the wire harness from the bulbs. The harness probably goes into a larger wiring loom and joins with more harnesses.

And there-in lies the rub...on the passengers side I think I can see some wires that might be for the bulbs but can't be sure. There is no way to get to them except for dismantling everything as you suggest. I guess it's time for play B...
