Crank Sensor Location

2002 GS 2.4 Does anyone know where the crank positioning sensor is located? Is it behind the plastic timing cover?

The illustrations I'm finding shows it right next to the crank pully/balancer on the side toward the front of the car.

Thanks, Im gonna assume the timing cover comes off to get to it?

I'm not really familer with that eng, but I would'nt think so. I have'nt seen one yet that the timing cover needed to come off to replace a crank sensor.
