VUE 04 4cyl. Fan doesn't start when AC goes on

AC is not working, system pressure is ok and ac compressor is working, but engine fan is not starting when I turn the AC on in the cabin. Any suggestions :disappoin

Just to be clear, you are talking about the cooling/radiator fan correct? Check fuses in the underhood fuse box, and try tapping on the fan relay(s). If the fuses are ok, then check for power at the fan motor.
How did you verify the a/c pressures are ok? Both high and low side?

Yes we are talking about the same fan. I only check the low pressure AC side. I will check for fuses and relay right away. The fan is running OK when the engine is hot enough, I assume that there is no problem with power at the fan, correct??. THANKS

If the fans run with temp, then the fuses are ok. With the A/C on, the high side may need to reach a certain pressure before the fans kick on. If the charge is low, or if the compressor cannot build high pressure, the high side will not reach the desired pressure. Thats why it's important to know the high side pressures also. Fans usually come on around 240psi of high side pressure.

I detected a leak on the compressor, fortunately my extended warranty payed for the repairs. Thanks for your advice.
