Paint match for 240ZG "Grand Prix Maroon"?

Anyone know a good match for the "Grand Prix Maroon" used on the Datsun 240ZG/Fairlady ZG? First thing is it's not Maroon... it's a chestnut brown , and non-metallic (apparently, a confusion with "Marron" which is French for Chestnut and a common name for a popular colour in 1970s Japan). It'd be great if there was a Tamiya rattle can match, but unless "Deck Brown" is it, I can't find one. I'd be happy to get Zero to mix one up, if someone can reassure me that the colour code IS 116 (since all the other Nissan paint codes I can find are letter/number combos...).

Any ideas, anyone?

bestest,
M.

Tamiya's 1/12 kit instruction calls for TS11, while Hasegawa's 1/24 scale kit lists Mr. Color no.100. I did some image search online, and both seem fairly accurate (TS11 could have been formulated for the kit). Although both are solid color, they may not be opaque enough, and can be affected by the color of the base coat. So you might want to do some experiment.

Why not use a genuine rattle can of car paint? - perfect match!
Halfords and several others can custom mix older colours for only a few pounds extra. (UK)
