This will be a speed build, I only have 3 weeks to the Group Build deadline.

The body is sanded smooth and primed. Nothing much to do before applying the first layer of paint except some cleaning in the rims.
Well done Tamiya, one of the main reason I like to build Tamiya kit OOB is that you will enjoy the whole process without disappointment.

Although the outcome isn't the actual color in my mind but it turn out being a stunning color that I decided to maintain it.
The main technique of spraying pearl coat is a thin 2:8 paint:thinner ratio + 10% of clear. After finish, I felt that I should keep it matt, this so far the best matt color I've ever spray.

Almost done on this baby, but still have some problems to solve...
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/54.jpg
the emblems on Ferrari are stick-on type, so I'm trying to convert decals to stickers. First by using H20 overcoat to brush on the decals, creating a bulge.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/55.jpg
believe or not, this is the first time I use kit-provided masking tape, it's much more easy compared with doing it your own. I apply some soapy water on the clear parts before sticking the masking tapes on it so that I can still adjust the mask after applying.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/56.jpg
Disaster!! extra thin cement flow to clear parts.... what can I do? need help here.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/57.jpg
This is the only con on this "almost perfect kit", there's sink holes on four corners of the rear clear parts.

Good job on the color combo, the rims suit the theme well also. Sorry to see the glue-thing, I bet you can solve it somehow!

janositamas,
thanks, since it's bit hard to recover that I planned to "carbonize" that part.
and here's some small progress

Decals applied on the caliper
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/63.jpg
the sink holes were sanded smooth with grid 400 sandpaper
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/64.jpg
result after 800, 1000, 2000, 3000, 6000, 8000
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/65.jpg
final polishing with Tamiya polishing compound, coarse, fine and finishing
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/66.jpg
final result.

Making of my signal lights.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/67.jpg
first, I heathen a clear sprue and strech to the desire diameter, personally I prefer Tamiya clear sprue as it's more compact and still looks very clear after stretched
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/68.jpg
then I I heat up the tip, till it becomes rounded, this took some practice, just cut off the sprue if the shape is not nice
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/69.jpg
cut out, I did extra for my future build
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/70.jpg
painted the inner with clear orange
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/Ferrari%20360%20Modena%20Spider/71.jpg
end result.

nice work. shade looks like burgundy red :)
regarding the cement seeping onto the clear, you could try to polish it out as well. did mine on a GT-R's headlamp cover, worked.

Corvettekid,
Thanks
euro_z
The red pearl is fron Gunze aka Mr Color GX series, a Japanese brand.
nugundam93
A friend of mine said it's called Midnight Garnet, Infiniti & Ford has this color. For the clear part, I planned to "carbonize" it, already spray black now.
Thanks
