2008 Kia Optima - Manual Steering Rack Conversion

To spare my wife and others further anxiety as passengers in my car, I'd like to have the above conversion performed on my car. I wander a LOT when I drive - in any car - and have come to realize that power-steering of any sort is simply not a good idea for me.

What can I expect handling wise? Remember I don't want just a "plug up the tubes" procedure leaving the existing power steering system in place with no fluid in it - I'm talking a proper manual steering rack! :)

I daily drive a car with a gutted power steering rack. Its a little heavy, but the car doesn't wander and the feel is greatly improved.
