I tried to get on gtrforums on Saturday night to find out about the dyno day. It was down (derr!) and I though it was gone forever. I was so glad when SDU said go here. Thanks for posting the results PVA_GLUE, I know roughly where my car sits now.
Any idea when SDU forums will be back up?
Doc, glad to be back amongst the Skyliners..

Hey Joe.
My username is actually "Initiate" and not "InitialD". Cool nick but I think someone else has already got it. :D
Anyways, compare my car (3" cat-back) to MRHYUNDAI's (which is stock) and you'd see that cat-back ain't nothing for peak HP, though mid-range torque has fatten out considerably. And note the speed at which I reach my peak HP - 181. :)
Next step for me is at least the following - 3" dump-pipe off the turbo with high-flow cat and pod filter. After that, intercooler and more boost! :D

Hey guys, I finally get to see the results...damn the SDU forum for going down for so long:mad:
Hope everyone enjoyed themselves & look forward to catching you all soon. I must say that I was pleased with the turn out - it was good to see so many Skylines in one place.
Thanks to Joe for posting the results.
Bye for now,
Mike.

wil25t,
The good 'ol' stock ECU, see how rich it got on the 10psi boost run :( From 5200rpm onward it flat lined on low 10's:1 A/FR

Yeah fuel consumption seems to be affected too
thinkin bout getin an afc
do u reckon it would increase power or just fix the fueling?

Both mate :), with mapping changes via an AFC (+ITC to make the most of it) ) or Power FC etc.. you'll not only gain horsepower (quite a bit, given how rich it is ATM) but you'll also see an improvement in consumption (unless you then use your new found power to excess :D).

Thanks mate.
My Unichip was $1200 installed & tuned (It's possible to get it for $1100).
Advantages:
Control over both fuel & ignition (rather than AFC & then ITC)
Cheaper option than "most" full aftermarket ECU's
Retains factory control over all ancillary functions (idle control / climate A/C etc..)
Has additional options like anti lag / launch control (AFC / ITC don't)
Disadvantages:
Can only alter within the factory ECU's range
Only authorised agents can tune (requires software & laptop) & if constantly retuning (on the dyno) "can" be costly (hasn't cost me much @ all).
There's more pro's & con's, these are just off the top of my (very tired:D) head.

i've been quoted 1600 here in perth :( thats a considerable difference
and there are only 2 places here that sell em argh!
do u reckon its possible to buy the unit separate for like 800 bucks maybe(i dunno how much it is by itself) from eastern states then get sum1 to tune it and fit it over here? I think that unichip distributers will only supply if they fit it and tune it aswell.
