Revell Subaru STI

I started this kit a while ago, but never finished it. My plans were to turn it into a weekend warrior. Cage, stripped doors, racing exhaust system, just something to test some building basics. Well here goes...
First the roll cage. I do need some input on this though. Am I missing any major bars? And how do you all build the gussets on the cages?

Cage looks pretty good man. I'd "weld" in some triangles in some of the corners. That's about it. What do you mean by gussets?

That's what I thought the triangles were called.

Lol alright then. So just chop up some styrene triangles to the same angles of the cage, then, glue.

What's that black thing by the trans?? And the front engine cover should be semigloss black:) I'm Subaru picky. The cf and skid plate looks good:)

That would be the starter motor.

OOps.... I did looks at some engine pics, but did not see that. The instructions called it out in aluminum so....next time.

Interior is looking good man!

Well...its pretty much done. Had to contact Revell about some replacement rims....not sure where I put them...so here's pics with no wheels. Fell free to comment. The paint didn't come out very well and all pics are from my cell phone.

Thanks for looking. Not too bad of a kit for my first Subaru. But I would really like to build a Tamiya rally spec subaru eventually.
