Stroker? Internals for H22?

I am considering getting a Prelude this fall, but only want to if I know i can send it well into the low 11's, which I would like to do via a stroker and a turbo. Yet all I have found is the individual rods from JE, and pistons from JE. Anyone know any other good manufacturers/websites that have lots of engine performance for the H22. I wanted to make like a 2.4 or 2.5l, with a 9.0:1 comp ratio, and then with a head, vlave work, cams, and the necessary bolt ons, maybe 14 pounds of boost would put my into the 350 hp range. Let me know

Josh

Keep us posted. That is close to something that I want to do. Have not found the kit for it but I want non-turbo with 250 @ the wheels. That is a long way away for me. Keep us posted.

NA 250whp...
That sounds hard considering does NA Tune-Ups are hard...
Just stick with a simple turbo:tongue:

I do not know about you, but I am a luder, so I know I do not like anything simple. If I liked simple, I would just get a civic, slap a B18C in it and turbo it. that would be fast but not unique. Have to be special. I am researching it now. I have heard of this set up, happingin, but it takes alot of internal work. It can be done. Just takes patience.

SO does anyone know of a stroker kit, or some good internals, or am I barking up the wrong tree. and maybe go with a nissan RB, or even a friggin ITR w/ a B18C, or shoot, keep my mustang.

Did a simple search on google, nothing too strenuous...

-don't know if i'd trust this one

There's not much out there for this.. I imagine not many people do this because they'd have to use race gas, or a mix. The 2.2 liter already has the recommendation to run premium.

Prelewd, Thanks

I did a search on google, and couldn't find crap. The first one is great, they are in winston salem, NC and I live in Fayetteville NC, thats like a 3 hour drive, but well worth it. Hmmmm, maybe a good premium gas would work, and with a 2.5 liter, and a turbo, I know I should be able to hit mid to low 11's, and hnadle great.

hey- check out nopionline.com...you should be able to find alot of h22 parts and most everything else you need for your lude...by the way i agree with your simple statement (b16c with turbo), truly anyone with a prelude has one unique, sleek ride. peace

it can be done with the h22, its not as hard as you think, my prelude should dyno 250 to the wheels NA, ill link you guys to a dyno chart of a prelude and list my mods

you guys mention a stroker kit... what is it? what does it do? sounds like a good idea for N/A. but also sounds expensive.. explain it for me please..

you increase the distance that the pistons travel up and down thus increasing the displacement, I change my mind about this stroker kit, I was actually planning on purchasing it until I realized it was a bad idea, for the h22s, they have the 1.59 rod ratio and 2.2 liter engine, which means if you increase your stroke without increasing the length of the rods, you will decrease the rod/ratio significantly, you would also risk blowing up your engine or premature wear of your bearings due to the extreme angles of the rod to piston, this stroker kit is like building a muscle car, more displacement and less rpm, the rpm is where the imports shine because you can have a high final drive gear ratio due to the rpm, so if any of you like to carry out your gears far then this stroker kit is not for you, but for all of you folks you like to have a higher displacement engine and dont mind rebuilding it evero 10k miles than this is definitely for you!

dude if you get all the right internals you rev it as high as you want, you guys should look into this site
http://www.collectiveracing.net/cgi-bin/CRBoard/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=24;t=882
talk to some of those , they know what they're talking about unlike the people on this forum who just talk shit all the time
