OMG...did they "profit"?
where's the number to the modelling ethics board?
Anybody had a chance to win so...what's the big deal?
I've dealt w/ BestBalsa and thought they were nice guys.
I wouldn't slander them for trying to make money.
Are you upset because you didn't have $400 to win it?
When you try to warn other modelers away from people who supply us with
kits and parts, your hurting our hobby.

I agree, it is worth whatever you are willing to pay, it is OOP and therefore you can put whatever price you want, I could also rant why can't I buy Ferrari 250GTO for the price it was selling in 1963, because 35 mil. is a bit more then 18.000 from 1963

I don't have a problem with this either.... The original auction was available to anyone.
If Wim's price is right, the item will sell.... If it's not, he has money tied up in stock that won't shift...
Take a look at Wim's website.... Yes, his prices may be on the high side, but he has a lot of items that are unavailable anywhere else...
When you have the only one of something, you get to dictate the price...

Personally I wouldn't pay any price for that kit, but that's because it doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. However if someone really likes the subject then let them be free to pay whatever they want. I've ordered decals from Wim in the past and had great service from him. He can advertise the kits and stuff he sells at whatever price he wants to. Certain people will pay higher prices if it's something they really have to have..
