Hi Guys and gals, this is my first WIP post here, it's for a local group build titled "Horse VS Bull GB"

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/P6244601.jpg
talcum powder + superglue were used to filled up the gaps in the froot hood.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/P6284657.jpg
plastic "mesh" were cut out to be replace by wire mesh

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/P6284663.jpg
the original fitting for the kit that not suppose to be visible behind the mesh

cut away

I strengthen the joints by using superglue and tissue paper

This kit molded 90% of parts that should be black in light color... white and yellow. be prepare to use a lot of paints

Finally done, took me 4 hours just to paint these....

Body of SV96 were primed to check for errors

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/41.jpg
panel lines not align properly

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/42.jpg
sink marks filled

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/44.jpg
another way of filling gaps is by using stretched sprue and extra thin cement. I like this method a lot coz it will end up very nice and never shrink like putty.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/45.jpg
the fine sprue has "melted" in to the seam line

Side mirror oso have injection pin marks, Fujimi oh fujimi

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/50.jpg
sanded with 3M ultra fine sanding sponge before the first layer of color to reduce "orange peel", I highly recommend this to fellow car modeler, by using this I can reach the complicated areas of a car easily.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/51.jpg
Base coat of orange done. next will be the pearl coat.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/60.jpg
I'm still not satisfied with the color, it looks "dead". After been "poisoned" by guys in ICW, I decided to give Gaia orange a try. The body were sprayed with white again...

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/61.jpg
sprayed with Gaia orange, this time it looks striking.. note the color difference between spoon and roof that was sprayed using Gunze orange

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/62.jpg
dust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/63.jpg
the color is just so nice that I would like to maintain it instead of "pearl" it, I added Gunze pearl gold to the Gaia orange and sprayed a final coat.

thanks for viewing.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/65.jpg

For the MY98, i planned to build this without the rear lamp cover, and the rear grille will flush with the rear engine cover. The rear grille were cut following the rear engine cover.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/082.jpg
a small piece of plaplate were use to stick on the edges to get a straight line. all gaps were filled with super glue + talcum powder

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/083.jpg
The rest of the body were primed to perfection, no more flaws this time.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/084.jpg
"Super Veloce" decals applied, this make lots of difference to the overall outlook.

Decals after dried. Notice the whitish areas, these are places that still have air trapped inside, if proceed to spray clear coat there's a very high chances that "silvering will appear"

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/091.jpg
transparent film at empty areas were cut, add bit of Mark setter and Mark softer to makes the decals set firm to the body

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/092.jpg
Fujimi decals are bit soft and some areas were damage during the process. need to paint it back later.

After few R&D, I decided to do a Diablo SV with Murcielago SV Styling, My first attempt for a major mod to a kit, really need some masters to be pointers. This picture is PS using my current kit and some Murcielago SV pics.

i think it looks pretty close to the reference already, but i think adding 2 more pla-plate in the air intake there will look much better, just like the original SV bumper.. ^_^

maybe at the fender side can add an air scope too?
the tow "/ \" plaplate will sure be added, after I fill the empty areas first. :P

the inner side of the bumper is very hard to sand, it's just too narrow to reach, even using a file is difficult

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/198.jpg
underneath the bumper also hard to sand..

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/199.jpg
Cutting the bumper off is my only choice.... using dymo tape as a guide..

cut off using PE saw

Looking good. And nice pics. One question, do you build at a hobby store?

muffler were bored so that it looks more realistic.

Today I changed my cutting mat, RM5 only, from Daisho Sunway Pyramid
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/205.jpg
Fujimi's Diablo have a bit fitting problem on the font, the chassis can't fit firmly to the body and resulted the front looks "raised". When I hold tight with my fingers it looks just nice, so finding a way to "tighten" it will solve the problem.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/206.jpg
It's been a while I discover the problem but does not have a solution until 2 days ago, I remove the front gearbox cover, drill a hole and use a screw to tighten the chassis to the internal parts that secured to the body, done!!

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/207.jpg
The end result.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/208.jpg
Now both the Diablo "lowered"

Scratch building the rear diffuser

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/210.jpg
begin with the center mounting

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/211.jpg
stage 2, I'll be using aftermarket muffler this time

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/212.jpg
done but not satisfied, looks bit weird to me.... T_T

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/213.jpg
the left is the result after adding another layer but still look strange, so i did some changes. (the right part)

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/214.jpg
Final result.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/215.jpg
From side view, the rear seems to be bit too low, need to raise a bit, the rear diffuser are bit too thick, I think I shall trim it a bit.

added the "mustage" for the front bumper

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/217.jpg
sprayed with white primer as it will be this will be a bright green Bull. unfortunately I still found some areas that need to touch up... and time running out. :(

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/218.jpg
I re-design the rear light cover and the body

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee168/BomberVince/My%203%20Diablos/219.jpg
cant find any suitable green in the market so I mix my own, tested on silver and white surfaces, the white base looks promising as I predicted.

the PE have a part that should be round and attached to the body, the shape is hard to replicate with PE, so I cut it and replace with a round sprue.
