Hi Guys,
Just a quick question, with decals on all my models, instead of using a modelling knife to cut my decals I use just normal craft scissors. Is there any problems with this? Is there a reason you use knifes?
Thanks
Sam

When you say "cut" I assume you mean from the carrier sheet? I pretty much always cut mine from the main sheet with scissors. Sometimes I'll use a knife to cut a specific decal thats in the middle of a sheet, but thats pretty rare. The only time its really necessary to use a knife is to cut a decal on a model that crosses a panel line to give a nice clean break. Once cut use some setting solution to make sure the decal has settled down into the panel line. Hope this answers your question.

i use either. if it's just outside the sheet, i use scissors. i use a knife if it's either within the sheet/need to trim it close.

Curved mustache scissors work fantastic! When I was a kid I would always use my Dad's and he'd get mad because he would always have to track them down(!).:naughty:
