2005 GC. My headlights work some of the time. All all other lights work fine. Turning the switch on and off repeatedly sometimes get the lights on but sometime I just have to wait/drive abit before they come on. They also do not shut off automatically after the aloted time. Any solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.

The headlight switch itself is a common problem on these vans. Some remove and clean them and all is well. Other times the Front Control Module (FCM) is the problem. Again it can be the electrical contacts between the IPM it attaches to and the contacts on the FCM itself need cleaning. Some have to slightly twist the contacts so they make better contact.

It could be as simple as a bad relay for head lights.
Roll head light relay with another the same type.

I wish there were a headlight relay on 4th gen vans. It would make life soooo much easier both financially and technically.

All those new high tech Bells + whistles are not the most reliable.
Bypass old circuit and add a relay!
12vdc > relay/fuse > switch > headlight

Agree 100%. $200 for a new FCM vs $10 for a new relay. Auto manufacturers are generating some real money makers and it's only getting worse. Hope he's got an easy fix.

Don't stop at headlights. Door locks, power windows, interior lights, and on and on. We'd be rich in no time.
