2008 GMC Envoy speaker static

Ok my wife's Envoy's speakers will every once in a while start third speaker static buzzing noise when the radio is on. It does it in AM and FM also and even when you play a CD. It gets higher pitched when you accelerate and gets lower when you slow down. Only goes away when you turn off the radio. It is still the factory stereo. No changes made to any of it. It is very annoying and impossible to listen to anything. Can anybody help?

Looking at the manual (p. 3-70), one thing you could adjust to account for this static is to decrease the treble. Aside from this, I hope you're able to get some great technical feedback from the other forum members, and if you should decide to visit your dealership to get this looked into be sure to let me know.

bluevelvet57,

I was not sure if you have tried the above trouble shooting method. You can adjust your treble as Sarah stated on page 3-70 of your owners manual? If you are still having this concern, you can certainly have your GM dealership look into this. Just private message us your name, VIN, and GM dealership. Look forward to hearing from you.
