I want to take everything electronic out of my drivetrain in my Blazer. Currently in shop with the motor pulled with intake and carborater ordered. The guys at the shop said that it's a matter of pulling a plug on the automatic transmission to make it not run off the computer? Is that correct? What else do I need to do to take this truck off electronics???

In the '94 models, the transmission will require the PCM to shift gears. You could replace the trans with an older TH700-R4 set up for 4WD, but that might prove costly.

You are also going to have VCM and harness problems...

Thanks for the response guys. The motor is put together and waiting to put the headers on and exhaust. It looks like I'll be getting a call pretty soon about transmission replacement next. On the ignition will I have to go to points ignition to stay away from an electronic ignition?
