with the shift syloniod hooked up the and the transmission warm it slips with it un hooked and trans warm it drives normal like there are no issues with the transmission and it doesnt slip at all, with the shift sylonoid plugged in the transmission it doesnt go into gear but with it unhooked it moves and goes into gear

Sounds like the solenoid is going bad then or maybe a sensor. I am not familiar with the 2nd gen transmission but I do believe it has its own computer, correct?

its own comp yes i think so. i had done a heater core in the car and didnt see a comp in the normal spot but was told the comp or a comp (ecu) is under the window washer fluid res. on the pass side of the car
