Hello all !
My odometer works intermittently and sometimes stops. I have read somewhere that it is a faulty vehicle speed sensor....is this correct. I have a 1991 Beretta GT. Can anyone give me direction where I can locate this faulty sensor? Is it on the transmission or???????
Any help is greatly appreciated !
Thanks

If your odometer stops working, but your speedometer is ok, chances are it's the cluster....

Thanks for the response.
So where is the trouble in the cluster? Can you describe what to look for
and how to make the necessary repairs to make the odometer work again?
Or do I need to change the cluster ?????

Ha,ha, as a tech when I ran into a problem like this, it was the cluster....techs do not take clusters apart looking for circuit board or soldered joint problems......just not cost effective......

So the only option I have is to replace the cluster.........is that correct?

Unless you want to take it apart and look for something obvious.....

I've noticed that the odometer works fine at highway speeds 100 km/hr (60 mph) but at lower speeds it does not ! Anyone have any experience with something like this?????
