Interior door handle or whole unit?

1996 K2500 Sub

My driver's door inside handle broke. I can get just the handle, or the whole inside unit w/handle for about the same price.
Any difference in installation?
One easier than the other?

Go to AutoZone or comparable. They have the handles for about $15 with the whole piece that holds it all. I fought with mine and finally gave in and got the new one and it worked great. Hardest part is pulling the panel and replacing the broken fasteners. You only want to do that once, so check your little plastic links/fasteners to the rods.
