Mine is toyota corolla - 2001 VE model.

It has 116K miles in it.

It hesitates nowadays to pickup after a long idle time, say in morning when i start to work or when i leave from work to home(idle time of 8 to 10 hrs). I noticed this problem only during very high temp, say atleast 80F.

Hesitation will be there for 4 or 5 secs and will not move even if i give full accelartion, but after that it moves normally.

Car has automatic transmission and i only see this i put it to Drive(D or D2) and not when i do reverse.

Your opinion/suggestion is highly appreciated, as its a old car and i dont want put more money in to it.

Thanks,
Santhosh

Forgot to mention Engine Light On, with code P0446 and P0441. both are related to EVAP systems

CEL codes are probably not the cause of the hesitation on acceleration. These refer to the gas cap, vacuum lines, charcoal canister, and vsv valve and do not usually affect performance.
Have you tried cleaning the throttle body, when was last tune-up....

Thanks Joe.

Tune up : Its been more than a year and half.

I cleaned up Mass Air Filter and checked it, there was little improvement, but not fully resolved.

Some of my friends telling me it could be a vacuum leak ?
