What was the fuel level when you put gas in? If above a quarter, then this should not be related to putting fuel in the car , unless it is bad fuel(give the station you got the gas from a call).....

If you smell fuel, is it from the engine compartment or under neath the car or at the tank?

Which engine?

Check for codes?

Check for spark, fuel pressure, and injector pulse?
