I have the Durango with the GPS REC model. I'm looking to add a HD radio ad on receiver and my question is.

Can I reach up to the back of the radio system and disconnect the antenna. I need to do this so I can put the car antenna into the receiver end and the jumper antenna back to the radio?
If this cannot be done by reaching the back will the radio have to be partly removed to get access to the antenna?

thanks

Installing my HD radio add on to my Model REC Durango radio.

Here is an update to my Radio question
I did find an extension Antenna cable over near the passenger side kick plate. It has a piece of foam over the connections just slide back and thee is the connection form the antenna to the car radio. The connection is above the box that's mounted on the side wall.

I disconnected this and hooked up the 2 antenna cables provided. One to go into the box and one to go back to the radio.

I removed the Radio bezel on the Durango and there was plenty of space to hide the module behind the bezel. I ran the antenna cables over to this area and plugged them into the the HD module.

I then wired up the ground wire and+12 volts and then a +12v constant to the fuse box.
The power harness came with a fuse in line and a module to filter the line. Plugged the harness into the HD module.

Next I mounted the HD head unit with Velcro to the dash and ran the cable back to the hd module and plugged that in.

Turned on the ignition and powered up the display module and set the modulation frequency to 88.5 not used in my area and started to program in all the radio station regular and HD1 and HD2 radio stations. Also some HD AM station programed in.

There is almost 3 stations to 1 station like 103.0 103.3HD! and 103.3HD2.
The unit I bought sounds great and plenty of stations on the HD band that i never knew were there. Some channels commercial free and plenty of different kinds of music.

My Durango Has the GPS radio with the Infinity sound system and sounds great and adding this sounds just as great if not better using the modulated input to my radio. There is on the HD module for the left and right audio out so you can input to your radio if equipped with the rca input. Also comes with a remote>
All and all I am happy this took all of 1.5 hours to hook up and for $40.00 works great.
