Any pics of the center stack switch panel deleted?

I remember pics of a car on here that had removed the center switch panel and the remote shifter linkage. Instead they used a curved shfter lever and had the switches relocated. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone else remove the center panel? I really like how it opens up the car. I'm strategizing on how to use the flat panel to the driver's left as my switch panel. Any ideas?

Looks to me that the shifter is going to make the throw much longer since it is much taller. I left the shifter as it was and just used a 5.0 short shifter on the 3550. I like the shifter position and throws, seems like the natural position to me at 5' 11".
I had my switches moved to a point on the overhead roll bar hoop, slightly on the passenger side of center and angled toward me. Used an aftermarket switch box. Don't have a photo, but I can get one if you'd like to see it. Passenger can just bump their helmet on it if they are my size and not belted in.

If taking a picture isn't too much trouble It'd be great to see it. More input gives me more ideas/options. I'm going to leave the shifter mechanism alone, but will make sure to have a quality aftermarket unit in the new gearbox (which will probably be a TKO600).

The pictures of the yellow car belong to me. I took the Hurst shifter to a muffler shop and they bend the shifter so it is lower and the shift is not to long. It has worked fine. Just though I would pass that on. Namae is Les

I also did the center stack delete and removed the linkage shifter on my Ls1 conversion a year ago. The shifter was a Hurst shifter that I shortened a little and bent to fit. It may look long, worked great with the 3550 trans, direct shifting with no slop in the linkage. I can post some pictures but are on travel for the next few weeks. Also I sold the LS1 Panoz back before Christmas, but still have some pictures. But really, the direct shifter deal is a good positive change and I never missed a shift after the change.
