Accord1990EX-R number 2 cylinder not working

Hi,it's not working at all, like completely dead number 2 cylinder, when I take the wire off nothing changes.
Changed wires, new sparkplugs, there is spark, thought may be injector, put injector from other cylinder, same thing. Lot's of air coming from valve cover oil cap when I open it,is it normal?
No compression test yet. Oil looks ok,there is no antifreeze in it.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Did you roll the spark plug + plug wire to another cylinder?

Still need to do a compression test on cylinder 1.

If compression is bad, a smoke test can pinpoint if it's on a Intake or exhaust valve.
@ TDC on 1, if smoke is coming from the Intake, or Tail pipe.

It's completely new set of wires and spark plugs, nothing wrong with firing order. Why roll to another cylinder?
Didn't do any compression test yet on any cylinder, don't have compression tester yet.
thnks.

If you have a lotta blow-by through the oil fill cap and see a wet plug in that cylinder, chances are good it holed a piston.

A vacuum gauge reading will show you any catastrophic compression loss in that hole. Needle will drop out every time that one comes into an intake cycle...needle will shake so hard at idle you'll hear it rattling in the gauge. If so, you got big trouble.

You can kind of do this by the seat of your pants without a gauge...of course it's not real specific, but if you pull a vac line and put your thumb over it, and run the motor, and allow just enough air to sneak by your thumb, you can feel the loss of vacuum in the dead hole....the hose will actually "buzz" to the fast pressure changes, instead of a steady draw like a healthy engine pulls.

Even with a dead hole from ignition or fuel problem, vacuum level is not greatly affected. That hole is still pulling air in. If it's not, you got internal breakage, holed piston, swallowed a valve, something....

You scaring me,I don't want to deal with the piston....:nono:
thanks for answers any way.
The spurk plug is dry.I just run it for awhile took it out it's dry.Is it guaranty that piston is ok? Also I notice slight tinkling sound this time, not sure where is it coming from, but I imagine it could be valve or broken spring bouncing around. What do you think?
thanks.

Well that's better....yeah if you'd holed a piston you'd have all hella oil on that plug.
Interesting that plug should be wet fouled with fuel if that hole is dead.
Let it cool down, restart and see if the exhaust runner from that cylinder stays cold as the others warm up. Sounds like it may be running, just very weak.

It's not just missing at idle, is it? If it seems to overcome it as rpms rise, you could be dealing with a catastrophic vacuum leak here too...bad intake gasket, cracked intake runner, etc.

let's see. You swapped injectors and no change, you verified the miss didn't just move to the other cylinder after the swap I'm sure....pretty easy to pull that valve cover and watch the followers operate the valves while it runs...see if you got a dead valve or a broken follower or something...

PS EGR passage doesn't open to the #2 intake runner on this one does it? I can't remember...but that could explain some things too....

taking head off, compression 0 in it, others 175 steady, springs looks ok under valve cover everything moves.

Oh shit. Is that a chunk missing outta that right intake valve's edge, or just a trick of the light?

Where did all the oil come from?

Not good....

The oil from wet test, and this chunk is exhaust valve chunk.

what is tightening torque for rocker arm camshaft assembly, any one please?
I found the pattern,but not torque: http://www.justanswer.com/honda/1ktow-tighting-torqe-number-tighing-cyclinder.html
