I have a 1996 Lumina with a 3.1 litre V-6. What "symptoms" would show/happen if my crank position sensors were going bad or are faulty? Thanks - my first post - I've lost my virginity an am so proud!

Were you wearing condoms when you typed your first post? Safety first!

There are two crank sensors......one on the backside of the block, and one behind the harmonic balalncer.......if the one in the block goes bad, you will have a no start condition.....if the one behind the balancer goes, I think it will still run, but it could stumble at higher rpms.....the PCM will use the signal from the ICM(block sensor data goes to ICM) in it's place....
