I've seen swapped Civic's go for that. I " MIGHT " be able to sell my car with my swap for that. Take it from a 95 Civic owner and find something better.

If its lowered that much, you might wanna make sure it has shocks (struts) that arn't stock, cuz that aggersive a drop is probably too much for the stock shocks to handle without blowing. Also, if it doenst have one, get a camber kit, or the new tires on the rims wont stay new for long.

that's alot of money for a car that was most likely beat on.

I just picked up my 95 EX coupe a couple weeks ago, it has 137k on it and I got it for $2900.

I picked up a '97 EX Coupe for $5k. You should be able to do better on a '95 and mod it yerself.

yeah I'd really check on that drop and make sure everythings ok cuz ur gonna be draggin your butt and if EVERYTHING isn't tight and adjusted you are gonna be in for some real problems. Everything else sounds great. If the body and paint and interior are all in great shape I say go for it. If it looks sorta ok I think he is asking too much. Not way out there but certainly no steal. You could get a nice 95 civic for $3500 easy and do all that to it for under $2500 and you'd know it was right. But if you are just trying to save work then just go wit my earlier comments.

its a decent deal , if it was lowered properly , then i might get it if not dont bother more than likley the shocks are gone.

go for the stock one ... less likely to be fucked up

a 4" drop is way too much.

A stock one is less likely to be driven hard. Key, less likely. Also, as he said above, less likely to be f*cked up. YOu never know if the previous owner took care of the car, with a lot of stuff being new in the last 5 months. and you also don't know if he did the mods right? like I said before, are their cams (camber kit) on it? With a 4 inch drop, there better be new aftermarket shocks, like Tockio Illumina's or something, cuz the stock ones will be shot and downright dangerous. Also, any, did he use lowering springs/coilovers? or cut the springs. My opinion is always by the stock car and mod it yourself. Then you know what it was down right (as long as you have it done right) I mean, if you can find a modified car that was done right, thats cool...but my experience is that those cars tend to be few and far between, at least as far as on the sales block is conserned.

Im sorry im only asking cuz I dont know but why exactly is it bad to have it so low with stock suspension? more stress in some way? How? Im sorry if I seem :bloated:

Compressing your stock struts will eventually pop em. When I replaced my stock ones, there was no fluid left in them.

B16EJ1 is right, when you lower the car, the springs are shorter, so naturally, the car sits lower. This compresses the stock strut, much more than it was designed for. The stock strut can't handle being so comprerssed all the time. so, the lower you go, the worse off it'll be, cuz you are compressing it more. You'll blow your stock strut, the handling will be outta what then, and the suspeion will bounce and be afuwl, etc, cuz you'll have 4 blown struts. Not good for the tires either. Aftermarket struts/shocks, like Tokico's Koni's, KYB's etc, are better made to handle the extra comperssion of a lowered vechile. As a result, they wont blow like a stock strut, and therefor wont f up yopu handleing, etc. Your tires will still get really uneven wear though, unless you add a camber correction kit. Lowering you car much over and inch, inch and a half, and you definatly need one. Lowering changes the camber angle, and that causes uneven wear on the tires, which you can tell by the slanted angle the wheels sit at. you can blow though a set in like 15k. Adding a camber correction kit allows the alignment shop to properly algin your wheels camber too, not just caster and toe.
