Does anyone have any experience racing a Celica GT and an Integra LS both stock???

Who would win?

Hmmm.. not so sure what a GT puts out. I know the GTS will stomp a STOCK ls.

my 96 ls, weird color changing header, dual pipes from cat back, 17 inch low weight rims, i think bout 18 or 19 lbs, chipped.

his/her celica the model before (round lights and convertible) the present one.

for 10 exits (parkway, about 10 miles or so) i beat him.

i say his/her becuase after he/she went past me to challenge me, they were behind me all the way. all i say were the round lights, and i dont think his convertible type helped cause i've heard they are less rigid plus he didnt have 17 inch so couldnt keep up with me in cutting, but when he did try to go past in the right lane, i always inched him out.

maybe it ws a lucky day, or maybe i had my kellogs that morning.

check what trim comes convertible, i dont know if top of the line GT-S comes convertible or not

The 1999 and lower Celicas were garbage, but I'm not sure about the new ones. A new GT would be a good race I think.

I have a 96 LS with basic mods and I have raced a 99 Celica GT(5sp cai)and won without a problem by a good carlength we raced a half a dozen times and even when he jumped me off the line I beat him. I also raced a 03 celica GT-S with(i/h/e chip fuel air controllers ect...) and he was quick off the line but on the highway past 115 no contest my teg could walk him all day. I think when he put the vafc controller in it messed up something up cuz its gutless on the hwy. Even off the line he could beat me only by about half a car length which is probaly mostly the drivers fault but newazy hope this give some insight.

the new celica gt's and the round headlight ones both have 140 hp which is 1 less than stock ls. convertibles usually weigh more because they need a heavier load to further prevent rollover (u rolll u die in a convertible, duh) so u should beat him time and time again and they are DEFINITELY NOT 15s cars. mid to high 16's is closer.

o really?

have u ever seen an ls run at the track? 15's isn't that tough to hit w/ a stock ls/gt w/ a good/decent driver.

since u seem to be basing this off of h/p, lets think about this. the gsr has only 28 (ls has 142 hp from 94-96 an 140 from 97-up, never 141) more an not enough extra torque to matter, yet it can run a 15.2-4 stock. takes about 10 h/p per tenth...so being GENEROUS, an ls should be able to put down 15.7-9.

o, btw...the 99 celica comes with 135...not 140. please use actual facts if ur gonna say something is DEFINATELY not something...

but if u'd like to explain how a car with 36/34 (depending on year) more hp an that weighs 300 lbs more (so the weight advantage doesn't matter) than a 99-00 civic dx coupe puts down the same times as it? cuz those are high 16 second cars right there...

i'd love to hear this one explained...
