98 gtp stereo

When I play a cd the left side speakers do not work, but if I turn off the cd to the radio they do work. Would anyone have any idea what I need to do to correct this or why it does this?

have you tried cleaning the cd lense? I would try that.

Is it the stock Delco CD player that it came with?

Yes, it is the stereo (Delco) that came in the car, and I have tried cleaning the lens. Anything more you think I could try?

I don't know what the stereo does, but have you tried to mess with the balance while that is going on. I know that some stereos have 2 settings one for the tuner, and one for the cd. other than that I am stumped.

I have tried every button and knob on the stereo while the cd was going and while just the radio is on.
I will let you know when I get it figured out.
