Brake Bleeding

Ok, I have a stupid questioen. I've been bleeding my brakes for about 3 days and have gotten nowhere. I changed out 1 caliper. I haven't touched any of the other wheels and now i keep bleeding fluid and air out and it seems never ending. I've never had this happen to me before and was wondering if this is common and i should just chug along or could there be a problem. I've put a few solid hours of bleeding into it so far. thanks.

Well, how's the level in the reservoir? Did it go too low during the process? I'm not an expert, but I would think you would have the caliber fully burped in less than 10 pumps. Also, are you doing it properly. Close the valve, brake pedal pressed, open valve, then close, brake pedal released, repeat.

Yeah, i've been on top of keeping the res full and i've been careful about how i bleed so i dont let any air get sucked back in. it's bizarre. never seen this before.

How does the pedal feel? I may have misread your post, but you should only have needed to bleed the one caliper you replaced. Do you have access to a vacuum bleeder?

I did only bleed the one. Tonight i continued on my quest and finally got to a point where there were no visible air bubbles. Pedal was still to the floor however i had enough break pressure in the other wheels i was able to take a test drive.after driving a mile or so the hydraulic pressure pushed into the caliper and i have a solid pedal again. i guess it just needed the run around the block. i appreciate everyone's help!
