Howdy,
i just bought 1997 QX4 and the main problem with it is high idle @~1100 RPM.
i started by changing spark plugs, and distributor cap and the rotor. took it for a drive and it blew the whole distributor :) so i changed that :naughty:
still having the same issue with high idle, so i start at the TB(Throttle body) i went and bought one and replaced it , that included the TPS and also changed the fan coupling because it was bad. now the car idle ~@ 900 RPM.
tested the absolute pressure sensor and that is fine as well i don't hear any vacumm leaks. i am about done with any other ideas (maybe sea foaming the car) but i don't think that will decrease the rpm by ~250 :biggrin:
any other suggestions or ideas because i ran out of them :)
