Hello everyone,
Looking into a potential problem I may have with my passport. I've replaced all the brakes front/rear, everything was fine. Also has new shocks, front and rear suspension is also good.
Problem: when I step on the brakes it seems like only the front brakes are working, the car dips way down and forward as if the rear brakes are not doing anything at all. I also need to push more then I would normally would on the breaks just to get it to come to a stop. I'm wondering if the rear brakes need to be adjusted some how because it seems to me like they are not even working. By the way, the parking brake holds and works fine as far as I can tell.
Any help wold be appreciated. Thanks, Ed

The master brake cylinder may be shot. It is a dual, so if one goes you will only have rear or front brakes working ...
To test you can jack up the front and spin the wheels and then step on the brake. same goes for the rear.

K, just went outside and jacked up the car and tested the rear tires like you said. They spun and stopped when I stepped on the brakes. But it seemed like the brake pedal was traveling a bit too far to stop the rear wheels. I took them both off and gave them a bit of an adjustment and "dang" did it make a difference. The passport stops on a dime now. Problem solved, if I know it was going to be so simple I would not have bothered you guys.
Thanks for the help anyway, Ed
