http://gettycredit.com/bunbun/index.jpgI am looking to buy a 1997 or slightly newer Jaguar but don't want to spend the money on premium fuel. I drive over 300 miles a week and, at these prices, don't want to spend the extra money on premium.

Can any model be run on regular?

I have had a 1985 that ran fine on regular but I don't think it had the compression ratio of the newer cars.

If I can't run on regular I will have to look for another car, something like a Park Avenue but I really love the Jaguar and the interior design.

Thanks for the help.

Fuel expense is the least worry, the parts + service is too expensive to maintain.
I would consider a Ford Taurus years > 2000, the new one pushes 365hp.

We bought a retired 2000 Ford Taurus FBI car for $2K and after 5-years + 222k miles, it has a baby seat in the back, junk in the truck, and she still going.
