possessed mirror!

i have a 2000 expedition eddie bauer. when i use my remote to unlock my doors, my passenger side rear view mirror automatically pulls all the way in as if it was set that way. it never was and i cant get it to reset or stop doing that. any ideas other than unplugging it that will stop it from moving on its own? its a pain to re-adjust the mirror every time i get in the truck...grrrr!
