This will stump the experts!!

Ok, to start, i have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. She has 194k miles and climbing. When i first got this car it was in the fall so i didnt need AC. But now that the temps are rising and allready in the high 70s i need it. So i turned the AC on and it didnt blow cold. So i was like "Well i better go down to Autozone and get a AC recharge kit". So i did just so and attempted to recharge the AC. Well it didnt take.
So first i checked the AC Compressor to see if it spun freely. Yup.
So then i checked to see if the fuses were blown. Yes. The AC Clutch/ABS fuse.
So i replaced it. I noticed that that the ABS light was on. And now it was off.
(Remember this)
Turned the AC on and the fuse blew. So i replaced the fuse again.
I unpluged the AC Compressor Clutch harness and turned the AC on. The fuse still blew.
So i took out the AC diode. The fuse still blew. So i unpluged the AC Clutch Relay and success! The fuse didnt blow.
So i replaced the relay with a new one. But it still blew.
So at this time i realize i have some crossed wires.
So i traced all the wires and couldnt a break anywhere.:banghead:
I noticed that the wires went into the computer. So i figured the computer was bad. So replaced the computer with a new reprogramed one.
The fuse still blew. But on the bright side my transmission shifts way better now.
So now at this time im getting very irritated with this car.
So i physicaly took apart and visually inspected all the wiring. All of it looked great.
So i remembered that the ABS Light was on. So i forgot about the AC. Just replaced the fuse and drove it. It was good for a day and the next day when i turned the car on the ABS light was on. So i knew the fuse had blown. So i replaced it again. Drove the car all day and the ABS light never came on. Parked it for the night and the fuse blew.
So im thinking that it might be the fuse box expanding and contracting and causing a short.
Does this make sense at all?

take the fuse box apart and look for corrosion. check all contact points and grounds for corrosion.

Ok how do i take the fuse box apart?

I cant remember if it is the same on your generaton GP, it has been a while since I had one.If it is like this one in the picture then you open the cover take the 2 bolts out then unclip the side clips and wiggle to remove. this is a generalization because I have not done it recently.

You can try something made by Craig Labs. The product is called Deoxit. I had a problem where I would loose all power to the car. I figured out that it was the fuse box under the hood. I hit the side of the fuse box with a rubber mallet. The car came back to life. Cars alway break like this when you are on the way to work.
