Get a copy of "Heavy Weather" by Weather Report. The first cut (can't recall the title) has lots of contrast in tonality and intensity. And the rest of the CD is excellent also. I have no idea what your musical tastes are, but this is one great CD for breaking into jazz if you're not already there. If you listen to it ten times, you'll likely be hooked!
