2008 GP has been stalling on me. Latest was at a bank drive up. Had my foot on the brake and still in gear, car just died. I was able to put it in park and restart no problem. No lights or anything came on in dash. Wonder if timing belt could be slipping. 62,000 miles and belt has been squeaking good in the damp mornings.

3.8 or 5.3?
Your serp belt is making noise? Spray silicone on the belt while running....if noise goes away, chances are you need one, especially if original....these engines don't use timing belts.....
Just for ha-ha's check for codes......check for vac leaks....check the fuel pressure regulator hose for fuel....clean MAF and IAC.....

clean the throttle body out really well, common issue. this should fix it. definately not the sepbelt unless it is not there at all or you have a frozen pulley. Id be willing to bet if you clean the throttle body it will cure your issue.

I cleaned the throttle body and the MAF. Took everything out to do it. Was actually pretty easy after I saw a step-by-step photo display. It was definitely dirty. So far so good...

Cleaning the MAF and throttle body did the trick! It was pretty dirty and after a few weeks, no stalls. Thank you much!!!!!

Must have jinxed myself. It did it again last night at a stop sign. We waited like 10 seconds for cars to take their turn at the sign and I didn't even feel it die. I put it in park and fired it back up. This is weird. I don't even think there is 1500 miles on it since last time I cleaned it out. Could it be something else?

That sucks, at least your throttle body is clean now! Have you checked all of your electrical connections including battery. Also check your ignition relay. Make sure it is pushed all the way in, I have seen these rattle loose and the car will die out of nowhere when it does not make contact. Also make sure you check all of the things techII stated above.

I pulled the relay last night and put it back in...didn't seem to be loose but ya never know. I tightened down battery but it seemed OK as well. I guess if it happens again i will check out the throttle body again this weekend.

Look for a loose or damaged wire somewhere. I have seen by the serp belt the wiring harness coming loose and rubbing on the belt causing issues. I just repaired mine last night because on the way home it must have came loose. It completely cut through one wire and damaged two others. I have also repaired several others at the shop with the same issue. Just something to check and be aware of.

I will check to see if the belt is rubbing on anything. I did have it replaced a while ago...but the problem started before it was changed... Thank you.

nothing looks like its rubbing on serpentine. I cleaned throttle body again and it was pretty clean. I talked to a mechanic who seems to think it's a fuel pump...or maybe even fuel filter. I dont think it's either of those....when it rains it pours, now AC works one day and then blows hot air the next. It is fully charged so who knows whats going on. I think my car is possessed

Damn gremlins!!!! your fuel filter is located inside the tank. at 62k the fuel pump/filter are unlikely but possible. I have replaced a few on the newer models but not many. do you have anyway to monitor the maf values or any other live data?
