Thanks again for all the great info this site has for us Probe owners!

I own a 94 Ford Probe 2.0 - I tried charging my low port with r134a and it registers at full. I hear the compressor "click" like it wants to come on or engage but does not, still blowing warm air. Is there a switch or relay I should check at the compressor or other components I should be looking for?

Thanks for any help!!!

I just tried jumping the low pressure switch with a paper clip, the compressor is turning but I can't see if the clutch plate is or not. The engine kind of idled up a bit when I jumped it but still warm air. Di I need to replace the whole part that is attached to the accumulator?

How did you measure your charge? With one of those "idiot light" chargers?

I used the guage that came with the R134a - It measured (Blue) full @ 45 psi

I'll let the a/c experts explain why those aren't that reliable. But if you can't see the clutch engaging, maybe mark it with some white chalk and maybe see it better if it actually rotating.
