1999 Silverado DLR not working

The father inlaw plugged in his truck to a miswired trailer and now has no day time running lights nor running lights voltage for the trailer at the receptical. Checked all of the fuses and relays but everything seems to be working! Going on the annual hores ride this weekend and need help to solve this. Any idea's?

My best guess would be that you burnt out the DRL diode which if I remember is under the instrument panel drivers side. If you locate it and jumper across the 2 wires your DRL's should come on, if they do than you need a diode.
