1996 neon need help fast having problems installing trasnmission

i have a 1996 dodge neon automatic trans i have just began installing a diffrent trans but i can not seem to get the torque converter bolt holes to align with the fly wheel bolts i cant finish installing if i cant correct this anybody have an idea of what am i doing wrong plzs help thanks

Due to the timing marks being on the torque converter the bolt holes are not symmetric meaning one hole is offset. The converter will only go on one way it is best to mark one of the flywheel holes and the matching converter hole. If you didn't do that you have to install one bolt almost all the way in but still loose and turn the engine over to check the other three. If any of them don't line up take then out and move the converter one hole and start over. It is possible that you would need to do that 3 times before it matches up. At least a neon engine is easy to turn over by hand unlike a 440
