2000 Corolla no check eng. light when turn key

I haven't checked the fuse yet so it may just be that. The inspection guy thought that it might be the seller "unhooked" it. Anyone know how I might look further into this? Where would it be "unhooked" from? thanks.

Or they took the bulb out.
