What year vehicle???? Engine????
I have had the cover off on a 95 voyager to inspect ring gear and bearing, I would investigate to see if removing trans mount would allow trans to lower enough to remove ring gear, You will still need to remove both halfshafts.
You need to remove tire and a protective plastic cover if I remember correctly for access to cover on basck side of transaxle.
