specs on a taurus and escort

what's the specs on a 01 Taurus? and a 01 Escort?

Why do you ask? or should I say what is it your wanting to know?
Specs as in what........ mpg....curb weight....hp,tq.....1/8 or 1/4 mile times....0 to 60.....engine cid.....

hp on just the 2000, 2001, and 2002 2 door taurus

Well the Taurus does not come in a two door as for HP. 2000 to 2002 the Vulcan 3.0 liter V6 puts down 155hp. an the Duratec 3.0 liter V6 puts down 200hp. Too bad they dropped the S.H.O. in 99 it had a 3.4 liter V8 that put down 235hp, But only from 1996 to 1999 could you get one..... It's just too bad... :(

well because there's an old friend of mine that has a 2 door Taurus i think. The taillights are i think in one long piece, i could be wrong though. I'd recognize it again if i saw it. It wasn't new and its bugging me on what year it was.

watch out for sleepers. my vulcan is pushing about 240, 250hp. the only cars arounh here that can take me are the v 8's because of there foot pound i'm sure. the mods you mentioned are purley for show. do something to the engiene man. as far as not keeping up to the tercell, you said it yourself, your driving a civic.
if this car see's you on the road,i get to kill yet another civic ha ha ha

Holy cow!! your Taurus can actually take the abuse?!?!? Isn't it a bit heavy for sport driving? my brother in laws' Taurus has a windshield that keeps cracking on its own, from the chassis flexing.:cwm27:

before i went nuts with the hp, i made sure everything else could handle it. new sway and stableizer bars with the pollyurithane bushings. SHO tie rods,upper, lower ball joints. wheel barrings for a SHO, not the standered replacements! monroe sencitrac gold struts front and back(soon to get coil over), and got my father to weild me a specail strut tower brace in the front end.put on the stock SHO p225,55,zr15 bf comt ta's.this was all before i started on the engeine.trust me, no cracked windsheild here. it handles like a dream to.when i bought it, it had 255000 k's. it all had to be done. mine as well upgrade eh. no tranny work yet, still goin from the factory. for all those who complane about the cars tranny, ha.$150.00 each year on fluid, filter. or $15,000 in 3 years for tranny work. i know witch choise i picked!

ok. first of all, i didn't get a goot look at this guys car, but from what i've seen on the road since then, i think it was a 2 door escort with the zx2 logo in the rear bumper. It had a spoiler too. It was all stock, but when i talked to the guy once he said he had to chase a guy in his car, and i was like thinking, his car ain't as powerful as he was describing. And i wasn't racing him either. Nor will i ever cause he ain't like that. I know it wasn't like your god-awful looking 4 taurus (shivering in disgust...). Second of all, i highly suggest you keep reading if your mind allows you to regarding my sig. Honestly, have you ever known anyone here in AF that would get away with all those things i listed on their car? I'd like to quote myself here: "ITS A JOKE!" No one really knows how much i'm pushing unless they meet me in person with my car. I keep it all clean with none of that stuff listed there. But yes, i do have some engine mods. :wink:
