Daytime running light issue

Hi everyone. The problem is with my daughters 98 GT coupe. The driver side headlight only turns on when the swith is turned to ON. Normally the lights stay on with the switch off. I changed the bulb but that didn't help.

Any idea what could cause this? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

When you turn the lights on with the switch, do the hi beams and the low beams both work?

Might be a problem with the ignition switch as well...

When the switch went bad in my GP, the DRL's would go out when selecting one of the lower (1-4) speeds on the blower motor. If you're having any other electrical gremlins, that might be an indicator of a bad ignition switch.
