Ok I have a couple of doors on my crew cab that have been making a snapping noise when they are closed and I have found out what is causing it.I noticed the spring loaded retainer that holds the door open rides on a pin with a roller and the rollers are stuck on the 2 doors that are making the noise.I have thge service manual for the trruck but can't find the section on the doors to tell me how to repair this.I've tried penetration oil but that hasn't freed them up so what I need to know is how big a job is it to take these retainers apart and either change the roller or free the old one up?

I use 30wt non detergent oil with some graphite mixed in a oil pump can. this is used to lube all the doors hood hinges and other items.
I have never seen these rollers rust up so they do not move.
try taping with a small hammer and a long screw driver to shock it loose.
30wt non detergent oil is air compressor oil/ 20wt is ok also..

I'll give that a try thanks.I don't have that duck billed deal to keep the spring collapsed so what's the easiest way to work on the hinge without one of those?
