96 chrysler town

hello, who can help me with these two codes that are making the check engine light come on on my 96 chrysler town and country minivan with a 3.8l engine? I hope I can get some good advise here. Thanx.

oh..the codes are; p1768 and p1698 they both say manufacturer specific

You have transmission problems. The 1698 is a communication error between the transmission controller and the pcm. The 1768 is also tranny related Have you serviced the transmission recently if not you may want to change the filter and fluid. Check the wiring to the input and output speed sensors. You might want to clean any corrosion you find on any of the connections too
