Sun Roof Replacement

I have an early 1997 Grand Prix. The sunroof needs replacement. The dealer wants $2000 for this. I can get a replacement from the boneyard for $200-400. Couple of simpe questions...
1. Can the newer sunroof (one piece sun shade) work in vehicles that have the two piece shade?

2. How hard is this job and do you have any sage advice?

Sunroof replacements are tricky even for the most seasoned installers. Unless, you are confident in your abilities, I say take to the dealer. Any mistakes are on them, not you.
