ProJect: Skyline R34 Vspec 2 (Pics Inside)

Yo everyone, just started a new kit yesterday, got a Skyline R34 from tinyimports.com its a really nice kit with alot of under body detail. Body kit and side skirts fit great. But im not going to use em... Im going to get a SAS C-West Body kit for it soon. Ill get some more pics up later.

lookin good, those Cwest kits look awsome, have an idea for a body color yet?

1.) why do you assemble your chassis before painting it?

2.) it's Project. not ProJect.

Yeah, i got every thing planned out. Ill be painting it TS21 Gold. And im probably not going to paint the chassis, maybe a little painting but not alot.

ive been waitin for months to get the right designs planned out for my Vspec ll and it was supposed to be something not done here (not many gold R34's), damn guess its back to the drawing board:(

Shorty, did you glue the whole suspension without painting it because you were lazy, or did you just wanna show people that you're making models... "here look, I'm making progress...". I'm tryin to flame you, I'm just asking a question.

Well the only thing i think that is gonna be Nismo that im going to put some nismo decals on my rims and maybe on the rear of the car, that would be it.

Well right now im detailing it some more. But yeah im just showing u guys progress pics, it will be detailed by this weekend probably. :)

Finally got the chassis painted today, painted the chassis, and rotars gold, to match my paint job im going to have "Tamiya TS21 Gold" I just ordered my SAS SkylineR34 C-West Kit from Chris yesterday. Tell me whut u think so far? Thanx

Mine is on stop for now.

I've painted the body Mettallic black. I have a C-west body kit and a nismo hood. with a wing, a different kind similar tothe one from the R33 kit, Mine will probably look different from everybody's because of that wing. :D

Short's inspired me to work on it.

I was working on a 65 GTO but since it's in CSC I might as well work on it a bit.:D

Just picked up some paint today at the Hobby Shop, i just painted my interior, ill get some pics up as soon as possible.

Here some pics of my painted interior, painted it flat gray, and the seats i painted gloss black. Tell me whut ya think.

Yeah, came otu really blurry, but o well.

its looking good, I have am also building one and I hope it comes out good. the interior pics look blurry but I from the looks of it its clean and nice. I think you should add another color to the underbody, maybe black around the rubbers and stuff.:smile:

yeah i am going to have it on there to but the gold will just be the temporary color.

Huh? Why dont u just paint it the color u want??? Instead of painting it gold then repainting it another color? And if ur using it a a temp. color before u spray u should get the old paint off first, if u didnt know that.

Well, actually, you don't have to, the gold could be treated as an undercoat, or a base coat. You could most likely spray a transparent colour over the gold to get a nice colour. (for example, transparent red over silver= candy apple red, or thats what people on this forum say anyway).

Yeah thats whut i heard too, also about Tamiya Pearl. Isnt it also transparent?

yeah the gold is the undercoat for my paintjob.

what the hell are Volk Racing Nismo rims? those are 2 different companies. they're either Volk Racing rims or Nismo rims, not both.

Yup. They sure do.

Nice rims, but I'll be using the other rims included in the kit (2 sets of rims, 1 set of rubbers).

And I don't care if other people make the same kit as me. What's the big deal?

Well they are soposed to ne Volk Racing TE37 like.., it comes with Nismo Decals to put on the rims.

Shorty my man...

Those are not LOOK ALIKES... they are nismo rims. Never get that mistaken in the Skyline world... you might get beheaded . . .
