I'm currently working on replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor. I rented the puller from Autozone. I got the retainer bolt off, then went to use the rented tool just to find out that the bolts in the kit were too big. I pretty ticked off cause I had to travel 50 miles to get this tool. The local auto stores didnt have any on hand. Does anyone know what size bolts is required?

EDIT: what year is your intrigue?
The crankshaft position sensor is above the startor, and the camshaft position sensor is under the coolant tank. No-need to pull the harmonic balancer.

Not on this Intrigue, mine is a '99 with a 3800 series 2 engine. It's behind the pulley.

Go to your local hardware store and pick up some long bolts......I'm guessing they are 8mm or 10mm, not sure......
Get a variety of sizes to try, and then bring them back and get three of the ones that fit.....
