What did you do different with your clear coat that you didn't get orange peel with 2K? I always have to polish mine because of waves in the clear. More reducer, more hardener?

If your clear coat ends up with waves, then it looks like you may have three possible problems:
1. the lacquer is too thin. When spraying the lacquer it does not stick to the surface, it flows over it. Either the lacquer needs to be a little bit thicker, or you spray with too much pressure.
2. the clear coat is too thick. Build up your clear coats just like you build up your paint layers: in multiple thin layers until you have a solid base, then apply a slightly heavier coat as a last "wet" coat. Underlying layers allow the above coat to "glue" onto the surface.
3. as said in the first remark: too much air pressure. If above remarks are met, then try to lower the pressure a little bit, or spray from a larger distance.

It may well be that you do some things exactly the way they need to be done, but do something wrong on another. Therefore it is difficult to pin-point the real problem from distance. Try out different things so you can eliminate possible causes. In the end you will find the exact problem as you go.

Succes!
