86 Lebaron Convertible, Need Help!!

i have an 86 LeBaron Convertible i bought for the summer last year. the car needed a little work but i drove it as is. Shortly after buying it i noticed that after a little while of driving, whenever i slowed down to a stop at a light/stop sign/ parking spot ect, my car will bog down and the idle with slow down. Sometimes the car will catch its normal idle again, but often it just shuts off. Than when i think im in the clear and its idleing right again and the light turns green, i go to give it gas, and it stalls out. Since noticing this, up to this now, I have done the following to try and get it running properly. I have changed the following/ fixed this in the car since owning it.
- spark plugs
-plug wires
-distributor cap and rotor
-crank sensor
-tps sensor
-ignition coil
-oil change
-fuel filter
-pcv valve
-air filter
-Cleaned out the whole tubing for the air intake (filter housing over the tbi)
-Blew out the vacuum lines, which are all intact.
i noticed today while i was doing some of those things that the egr valve looks new. ( the old gentlemen i bought it from was trying to get her back to her glory days before i bought her.) When i start the car, it starts up right away every time. While driving and accelerating, she drives perfectly fine. I am losing my mind:banghead:, i have no idea what else it could be. I thought it was an electronic issue, but now im thinking maybe it could be running too lean? or too rich? There is no check engine light either( dont know if there even is one) Any ideas are or input is welcomed please!

Have you tried using the on-off-on-off-on method to see if any codes come up? "On" being Key On Engine Off.

Hidalgo 14, what engine do you have? Does it have an IAC valve? Sometimes even the fuel injected ones have an idle adjustment screw somewhere.

I have the 2.2 with tbi fuel injected. I do not know about the IAC valve though, i will have to look that up and see if it has one, thank you

Hidalgo, also check the coolant temp. sensor. If you can find one a Haynes or Chilton manual would be beneficial to you as would a multimeter. Good luck. I like those cars a lot, I also am a fan of the 2.2 engine! I almost forgot to remind you to check for vacuum leaks as well as running a fuel system cleaner in it from time to time.

Thanks for the help. Ill check the coolant temp sensor, but what could than do? and yeah the vacuum lines were gone through yesterday and they are all there, connected and intact. This thing is a mystery so far! :confused:

Hidalgo14, the coolant temp sensor is an information sensor the computer uses to adjust the amount of fuel to provide to the engine and to adjust the timing at the correct temperature. When and if faulty it might lean out the engine or provide incorrect timing. Someone else could probably explain it better but it wouldn't hurt anything to check it out. Specs are probably in a Haynes or other manual. A multimeter would be handy to check it's operation.
